How are your leisure activities changing?

As well as private hobbies, such as allotment gardening, hiking, cycling or fishing, leisure activities in the GDR were often organised by the state or by workplaces. Sport could be practised in workplace sports clubs, whilst cultural activities were available at cultural centres such as the ‘Marchwitza’. Since the 1990s, the variety of leisure activities has increased significantly, partly due to technological progress.
